Project-base September-November 2011. Kick-off

RÉSUMÉ (project-base 2011-2012) from the 26th  September to 30th November 2011 in Utrecht by choreographer-dramaturg Gabriela Zuarez in cooperation with the PBT Praktijk Bureau Theater of Utrecht University and with the support of the foundation Dance-Theatre Development.
Résumé is a concept for research conceived for five contemporary dance performers, movers  or actors with a relevant physical condition- and is looking for performers with different physical types, ages, bodies and outlook with good improvisation skills. Dancers with experience in theatre, movers and actors who have strong physical condition and flexibility. Preferences: availability to use the voice and speech / background in popular Latin American dances or Ball-room. Résumé aims a synthesis of language from previous works done by the choreographer. The theme of the piece revolves about the human explotation in modern society and how human being has become object of its own consumption. Research/rehearsal period: 26 September to 30 November 2011. The project lasted five weeks, an overage of rehearsals of 3 times per week 5-6 hours. Target participants: 2 places for professional, 1 place for semiprofessional or amateur and 2 places for stagieres. Audition was held on Sunday 11 September in Amsterdam and Thursday 22 September in Utrecht, only by invitation.

Residence Project July- October 2007

'Human landscapes II' is the result of a interdisciplinary research process for dance, theatre research in a program of artistic collaboration and cultural exchange.The idea was an initiative of Gabriela Zuarez in cooperation with  Kunstenaarslogies Amersfoort, Staalkaart Amersfoort and Zaadvoort aan de Eem. The project deal with the theme 'emigration and immigration' having participated in it, artists from Argentina, Holland, Israel, Germany, Poland and Italy. After the research period, followed the production period of the piece presented in Amersfoort in October 2007. Target participants: professional, interdisciplinary.
